Infectious Diseases Act
Infectious Diseases Act (Amendment of First Schedule) Notification 2001
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 69 of the Infectious Diseases Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Notification:
1. This Notification may be cited as the Infectious Diseases Act (Amendment of First Schedule) Notification 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2001.
2. The First Schedule to the Infectious Diseases Act is amended —
(a)
by inserting, immediately after the word “Infection” in item (8), the words “(Non-acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome)”;
(b)
by inserting, immediately after paragraph (a) of item (19), the following paragraph:
“(aa)
Genital Herpes.”; and
(c)
by deleting paragraph (c) of item (19) and substituting the following paragraph:
“(c)
Non-gonococcal urethritis.”.
