Infectious Diseases Act
(Amendment of First Schedule) Notification 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 69 of the Infectious Diseases Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Infectious Diseases Act (Amendment of First Schedule) Notification 2000 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2000.
Amendment of First Schedule
2.  The First Schedule to the Infectious Diseases Act is amended —
(a)
by inserting, immediately after item (7), the following item:
“(7A)  Hand, foot and mouth disease.”.
(b)
by inserting, immediately after item (8), the following item:
“(8A)  Legionellosis.”.
(c)
by inserting, immediately after item (12), the following item:
“(12A)  Nipah virus infection.”.
