Trade Marks Act
Trade Marks (Amendment) Rules 1996
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Trade Marks Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:
1. These Rules may be cited as the Trade Marks (Amendment) Rules 1996 and shall come into operation on 1st June 1996.
2. The First Schedule to the Trade Marks Rules is amended —
(a)
by deleting “430” in item 6 under the heading “Amount $” and substituting “450”;
(b)
by deleting “250” in items 9 and 12 under the heading “Amount $” and substituting in each case “300”;
(c)
by deleting “100” in item 30 under the heading “Amount $” and substituting “150”;
(d)
by deleting “180” in item 34 under the heading “Amount $” and substituting “190”;
(e)
by deleting “5” in item 45 under the heading “Amount $” and substituting “6”;
(f)
by deleting the words “every quarter of an hour” in items 46 and 47 under the heading “Matter or Proceeding” and substituting in each case the words “every half an hour”;
(g)
by deleting “1” in items 46 and 47 under the heading “Amount $” and substituting in each case “2”;
(h)
by deleting “200” in the following items under the heading “Amount $” and substituting in each case “250”:
items 8, 11, 31 and 32;
(i)
by deleting “50” in the following items under the heading “Amount $” and substituting in each case “60”:
items 16, 22, 23, 24, 25, 35, 36 and 50; and
(j)
by deleting “25” in the following items under the heading “Amount $” and substituting in each case “30”:
items 37, 38 and 40.

3. The Second Schedule to the Trade Marks Rules is amended —
(a)
by deleting “$5” against the word “Fee” in Form T.M.1 and substituting “$6”;
(b)
by deleting “$430” against the word “Fee” in Form T.M.7 and substituting “$450”;
(c)
by deleting “$250” against the word “Fee” in Forms T.M.13 and T.M.16 and substituting in each case “$300”;
(d)
by deleting “$100” against the word “Fee” in Form T.M.21 and substituting “$150”;
(e)
by deleting “$180” against the word “Fee” in Form T.M.28 and substituting “$190”;
(f)
by deleting “$200” against the word “Fee” in the following Forms and substituting in each case “$250”:
Forms T.M.12, T.M.15, T.M.35 and T.M.36;
(g)
by deleting “50” against the word “Fee” in the following Forms and substituting in each case “$60”:
Forms T.M.17, T.M.22, T.M.24, T.M.25, T.M.29, T.M.30, T.M.34 and T.M.45; and
(h)
by deleting “$25” against the word “Fee” in the following Forms and substituting in each case “$30”:
Forms T.M.31, T.M.32 and T.M.33.
