Workmen’s Compensation Act
Workmen’s Compensation Act (Amendment of Second Schedule) Order 2004
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 35 of the Workmen’s Compensation Act, Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister of State, Ministry of Education, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Manpower, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Workmen’s Compensation Act (Amendment of Second Schedule) Order 2004 and shall come into operation on 16th February 2004.
2. The Second Schedule to the Workmen’s Compensation Act is amended by inserting, immediately after item 22, the following item:

23. Avian Influenza | Any occupation involving — | |
(a) the handling of, or the exposure to, animals or birds; or | ||
(b) the exposure to any material or substance with the Avian Influenza virus. |
