33.
—(1) The Minister may by order prohibit the holding of or may direct the closing of any entertainment or exhibition —
(a)
if he is satisfied that such entertainment or exhibition is or is likely to be in any way detrimental to the national interest;
(b)
if there has been in respect of such entertainment or exhibition any refusal of or failure to furnish any information required to be furnished under section 30, or if any information so furnished is false or incomplete; or
(c)
if there has been in respect of such entertainment or exhibition any breach of or failure to comply with any conditions imposed under section 31.
(2) The promoter and every person concerned in the promotion of any entertainment or exhibition which is held or continued in contravention of an order under subsection (1) and the proprietor of any premises upon which such exhibition is held shall be guilty of an offence under section 39:
Provided that no person shall be convicted of an offence under this section if he proves that the entertainment or exhibition in respect of which he is charged was promoted or continued without his authority, consent and knowledge and without any want of due care or caution on his part.
