Appointment of Director of National Monuments
8.
—(1)  The Board shall appoint one of its officers as the Director of National Monuments who shall be responsible for the performance of the duties and functions assigned to the Director under this Act.
(2)  The Board may give such directions, not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, as to the performance of the duties and functions of the Director and the Director shall give effect to any such directions.
