In exercise of the powers conferred by section 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Rules:
1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Control of Width and Length of Motor Vehicles) (Amendment) Rules 2012 and shall come into operation on 1st June 2012.
2. Rule 5(2) of the Road Traffic (Control of Width and Length of Motor Vehicles) Rules 2010 (G.N. No. S 626/2010) is amended —
(a)
by deleting the word “and” at the end of sub-paragraph (a); and
(b)
by deleting the full-stop at the end of sub-paragraph (b) and substituting the word “; and”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub-paragraph:
“(c)
be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of $12 in the case of a trip permit, or $20 in the case of a term permit.”.
3. Rule 7 of the Road Traffic (Control of Width and Length of Motor Vehicles) Rules 2010 is deleted.
