Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) Order 2009
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44(1)(b)(ii) of the Newspaper and Printing Presses Act, RAdm (NS) Lui Tuck Yew, Senior Minister of State, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) Order 2009 and shall come into operation on 7th December 2009.
2. The Minister hereby exempts from section 21 of the Act the company known as Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited with respect to the printing within any premises in Singapore owned or occupied by Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited, and to the publishing in Singapore, of any newspaper —
(a)
that is transmitted electronically to Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited by NewspaperDirect Singapore Pte Ltd; and
(b)
that NewspaperDirect Singapore Pte Ltd has the approval of the Registrar under paragraph 2(2)(a) of the Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) Order 2004 (G.N. No. S 266/2004) to print and publish in Singapore.
