Notification 2012

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Securities and Futures (Amendment) Act 2009, Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam, who is charged with the responsibility for the portfolio of the Prime Minister as regards the Monetary Authority of Singapore, hereby makes the following Notification:

1. This Notification may be cited as the Securities and Futures (Amendment) Act (Commencement) Notification 2012.

2. Sections 2(j), 43, 56(b) and (c), 59, 61 to 64, 68(b), 75, 78(a), 79(b), 80, 87, 90, 91, 98(d), 105 to 108, 111, 114 and 116 of the Securities and Futures (Amendment) Act 2009 shall come into operation on 1st October 2012.

3. Sections 2(p), (t), (u), (v) and (w), 42, 76, 113(b) and (c), 118(a) to (e) and (h) and 119 of the Securities and Futures (Amendment) Act 2009 shall come into operation on 19th November 2012.
