In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(1)(d) of the Companies Act, the Minister for Finance hereby cancels the direction given to the Registrar of Companies not to accept for registration under the Act the word “Raffles” in any company name if the activities of the company involve the operation of a hotel, motel or lodging-house, with effect from 14th April 2000.
