The following Act was passed by Parliament on 19th October 2004 and assented to by the President on 28th October 2004:—
Singapore Armed Forces (Amendment No. 2) Act 2004

Be it enacted by the President with the advice and consent of the Parliament of Singapore, as follows:
Short title and commencement
1.  This Act may be cited as the Singapore Armed Forces (Amendment No. 2) Act 2004 and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.
Amendment of section 205B
2.  Section 205B(2) of the Singapore Armed Forces Act is amended by deleting the words “All payments” and substituting the words “Except as otherwise provided by section 206 (1), all payments”.
Amendment of section 206
3.  Section 206(1) of the Singapore Armed Forces Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection:
(1)  There shall be charged on and paid out of the Pension Fund established by the Pension Fund Act (Cap. 224A) —
(a)
all such sums of money as may from time to time be granted by way of pension, gratuity or other allowance in accordance with any regulations made under section 205; and
(b)
such payments and benefits as may from time to time be payable in accordance with any regulations made under section 205A to servicemen under the SAVER Plan or the Premium Plan —
(i)
in respect of the death of or injuries received by such servicemen in and which are attributable to service;
(ii)
in respect of any allowance, subsidy, rebate or other benefit in respect of medical services rendered to such servicemen or to such former servicemen after their retirement from the Singapore Armed Forces; or
(iii)
in respect of any initial lump-sum contributions to such servicemen.”; and
(b)
by deleting the section heading and substituting the following section heading:
Pension Fund”.
Consequential amendment to Pension Fund Act
4.  The Schedule to the Pension Fund Act (Cap. 224A) is amended by deleting item 9 and substituting the following item:
