In exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(1) of the Environmental Protection and Management Act, the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Environmental Protection and Management Act (Amendment of Second Schedule) Order 2011 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2012.
2. The Second Schedule to the Environmental Protection and Management Act is amended —
(a)
by inserting, immediately below the substance “Mercury and its compounds in batteries” in Part I, the following substance:

Mercury in fluorescent lamps (primarily for lighting purposes) | Compact fluorescent lamps containing mercury not exceeding 5 mg. Linear or circular fluorescent lamps containing mercury not exceeding 10 mg; |
(b)
by deleting the substance “Fluorescent lamps;” in Part II.
