Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Driving Licences) (Amendment) Rules 1999
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 48 and 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:
1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Driving Licences) (Amendment) Rules 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st March 1999.
2. Rule 19(3) of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Driving Licences) Rules (R 27) is amended —
(a)
by deleting sub-paragraph (a)(ii) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:
“(ii)
in any other case, a person who holds an instructor’s licence granted under Part III of the Act,”; and
(b)
by deleting sub-paragraph (b)(i) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:
“(i)
the holder of an instructor’s licence granted under Part III of the Act who is giving him instructions in the driving of the motor vehicle; or”.
