Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Licensing of Vehicles — Late Payment Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2002
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Rules:
1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Licensing of Vehicles — Late Payment Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2002 and shall come into operation on 15th April 2002.
2. Rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Licensing of Vehicles — Late Payment Fees) Rules (R 6) is deleted and the following rule substituted therefor:
2. If a licence is applied for a vehicle after the date of expiry of the last licence issued for the vehicle, an additional fee as specified in the Schedule shall be payable for the issue of the licence —
(a)
where the last licence expires before 15th April 2002 and the application is made after a period of 14 days following the date of expiry of the licence; or
(b)
where the last licence expires on or after 15th April 2002.”.
