Medical Registration Act (Amendment of Schedule) (No. 2) Order 2009
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 71 of the Medical Registration Act, the Minister for Health, after consultation with the Singapore Medical Council, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Medical Registration Act (Amendment of Schedule) (No. 2) Order 2009 and shall come into operation on 30th October 2009.
2. The Schedule to the Medical Registration Act is amended —
(a)
by inserting, immediately after item 10 relating to the country “Australia”, the following item:

(b)
by deleting item 4 relating to the country “India”;
(c)
by deleting the words “Bachelor of Medicine” in items 1, 6, 7 and 8 in the third column relating to the country “People’s Republic of China” and substituting in each case the words “Master of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine”;
(d)
by deleting the words “Bachelor of Medicine” in items 2 to 5 in the third column relating to the country “People’s Republic of China” and substituting in each case the words “Doctor of Medicine”; and
(e)
by inserting, immediately after item 21 relating to the country “United Kingdom”, the following item:
