Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) (Exemption) Order 1997
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Communications hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) (Exemption) Order 1997 and shall come into operation on 27th October 1997.
2. Singapore Bus Service (1978) Limited shall be exempted from the payment of the additional transfer fee prescribed in rule 31 of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules (R 5) in respect of the transfer of all omnibuses registered in its name with the index mark “SBS” to SBS Bus Services Pte Ltd on or after 27th October 1997 and on or before 31st October 1997.
