61.
—(1) The medical officer shall give directions in writing for separating detained persons having infectious or contagious diseases; for cleansing and disinfecting any room or cell occupied by any such detained person; and for cleansing, disinfecting, or destroying, if necessary, any infected apparel or bedding, which the Superintendent shall forthwith carry into effect.
(2) The medical officer shall in the case of the occurrence of any epidemic, or highly infectious or contagious disease, or of any other circumstances affecting the health of the detained person requiring unusual measures, make immediate report to the Superintendent without waiting for the time of any periodical report.
