—(1) The principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the word “the” in the fifth line of section 41(1) and substituting the word “any”;
(b)
by deleting the words “the President” in the following provisions and substituting in each case the words “any president”:
Sections 99(4), 101 (4), 143 (2) and 144;
(c)
by deleting the words “presiding officer” in the following provisions and substituting in each case the word “registrar”:
Sections 36(2) and 49 (5);
(d)
by inserting, immediately after the word “divorce”, in section 35(2)(d) and (3) (line 5), the words “or nullification of marriage”; and
(e)
by deleting the words “The President” in section 100(3) and (4) and substituting in each case the words “Any president”.
(2) The enactments mentioned in the Schedule shall have effect subject to the amendments to the extent therein specified.
