2. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —
“appeal committee” means the committee appointed by the Board under regulation 9(2);
“disciplinary offence” means —
(a)
any contravention of any provision of the Singapore Polytechnic (Students’ Union) Regulations (Rg 1) or the Singapore Polytechnic (Clubs) Regulations (Rg 2); or
(b)
any other act, conduct or neglect to the prejudice of good order or discipline;
“Principal” means the Principal of the Polytechnic;
“student” means a student of the Polytechnic, but does not include a member of the staff of the Polytechnic who is pursuing a course of study at the Polytechnic.
