Infectious Diseases Act
Infectious Diseases (Notification of Infectious Diseases) (Exemption) Order 2008
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 71 of the Infectious Diseases Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Infectious Diseases (Notification of Infectious Diseases) (Exemption) Order 2008 and shall come into operation on 19th December 2008.

—(1) Section 6(1) of the Act shall not apply to a medical practitioner who attends to or treats or who has attended to or treated another person (deceased or otherwise) for chlamydial genital infection.
(2) Section 6(3) of the Act shall not apply to any person, other than a medical practitioner who attends to or treats or who has attended to or treated another person (deceased or otherwise) for an infectious disease which is not chlamydial genital infection.
