16. If criminal proceedings are instituted against an employee, proceedings under these Regulations for his dismissal on any grounds relating to the alleged criminal offence shall not be taken until —
(a)
the criminal proceedings have been determined; or
(b)
if there is an appeal against conviction, the appeal has been withdrawn or is deemed to have been withdrawn or has been disposed of by the Appellate Court.
