26. The Info-communications Development Authority of Singapore Act (Cap. 137A, 2000 Ed.) is amended —
(a)
by deleting the definition of “broadcasting service” in section 2 and substituting the following definition:
“ “broadcasting service” has the same meaning as in the Broadcasting Act (Cap. 28);”;
(b)
by inserting, immediately after the word “telecommunications” in the definition of “telecommunication system” in section 2, the words “, including (for the avoidance of doubt) any such system capable of being used for the operation of any broadcasting service”;
(c)
by deleting the words “satellite orbits” in section 6(1)(i) and substituting the words “satellite orbital slots”;
(d)
by deleting paragraph (l) of section 6(1) and substituting the following paragraph:
“(l)
to exercise regulatory functions in respect of the determination and approval of prices, tariffs and charges for the provision of telecommunication and other related services, including the use of telecommunication systems for the operation of broadcasting services;”; and
(e)
by inserting, immediately after the word “telecommunication” in section 6(2)(i), the words “systems and”.
