—(1) While any vehicle is within a parking place which has not been appointed a public stand under section 109 of the Road Traffic Act (Cap. 276), it shall not be lawful for the driver or conductor of the vehicle or for any person employed in connection therewith to ply for hire or to accept passengers for hire.
(2) Any person who acts in contravention of this section shall be guilty of an offence.
