In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:
1. This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 14) Notification 2012.

—(1) The Minister hereby exempts Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. from the provisions of the Act in respect of the “Jackpot Time” promotion to be held from 16th April 2012 to 30th June 2012 (both dates inclusive) and the daily draws to be held during that period between 6 a.m. and 9.59 a.m. at the Main Casino Floor.
(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
THE SCHEDULE
Conditions
1.
The methodology of the promotion, the details of the prizes to be distributed, their manner of distribution, and if the winners are determined solely or partly by a draw, the time, date and place of the draw, shall be disclosed in printed publicity material, copies of which shall be freely available to all participants.
2.
Every draw shall be conducted by persons in the employment of Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. only.
3.
Every draw shall be conducted in public.
4.
Every draw by means of a computerised system which is not conducted in public shall be witnessed and audited by a public accountant who is not in the employment of Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd.
5.
Every draw shall not involve the use of any game, method, device, scheme or competition declared by the Minister in a notification under section 2(3) of the Act.
6.
Every draw shall not involve the use of any instrument or appliance for gaming declared by the Minister in a notification under section 2(4) of the Act.
7.
Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. shall, before the start of any of the draws, undertake to ensure that an audited statement of accounts shall, together with the results of the draws, be sent by registered post to the Head, Specialised Crime Policy Branch, Criminal Investigation Department, within 3 months after the termination of the draw.
