Privileges of members of Union
7.
—(1)  An ordinary member may —
(a)
speak and vote at a general meeting of the Union and participate in the Union’s activities;
(b)
vote in and stand for election to the Council or Executive Committee or management committee of any constituent body of which he is a member; and
(c)
use the Union’s facilities in accordance with such rules, regulations and conditions as may be issued from time to time by the Principal.
(2)  An associate member may —
(a)
speak at a general meeting of the Union and participate in the Union’s activities; and
(b)
use the Union’s facilities in accordance with such rules, regulations and conditions as may be issued from time to time by the Principal.
(3)  An associate member may not vote in or stand for election to the Council or the Executive Committee or any management committee.
(4)  No person other than a member of the Union shall participate in any activity of the Union.
(5)  Voting in every election shall be by ballot and a member may not vote by proxy in an election.
