Amendment of Medical Registration Act
5.  The Medical Registration Act (Cap. 174, 1998 Ed.) is amended by inserting, immediately after section 57, the following section:
“Jurisdiction of Courts
57A.  A Magistrate’s Court or a District Court shall have jurisdiction to hear and determine all offences under this Act and, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 68), shall have power to impose the full penalty or punishment in respect of any offence under this Act.”.
